Masters Schedule

Wednesday, June 6, 2018
12:00–19:00: Arrival and accreditation of participants
Mandatory: medical certificate of agonistic sport suitability
Accreditation office: “Olympiahalle”, Olympiastraße 10, Innsbruck
18:30: Technical meeting with EHF, LOT, municipality representatives, “Olympiahalle”, Olympiastraße 10, Innsbruck (obligatory for all participating teams/one representative of each team)
21:00: Opening ceremony & welcome party, “Olympiahalle”, Olympiastraße 10, Innsbruck
After the official part of the opening ceremony, all the participants and their partners will be invited by the organizer to a snack with regional food and a get-together with music in the VIP area of the Olympiaworld.

The Central Information Centre will be situated at the “Olympiahalle” in Innsbruck.
The opening hours are from 9:00 to 19:00.

Family & Friends

Family & Friends

It would be a pleasure to welcome many family members and friends of the participants in Innsbruck.
Family & friends have the chance to use public transportation in Innsbruck at a special price of € 25,- during the event (June 6-10, 2018). Children up to the age of 12 years can use public transport in Innsbruck free of charge.
The public transport tickets (for adults and children) can be bought during the accreditation process on Wednesday, June 6, 2018 between 12:00 and 19:00 in the accreditation office of the Olympiahalle or during the event in the OC office in the Olympiahalle.

Use of Resin


We would like to inform the participating teams that in our sports venues, due to cleaning measures, only the handball resin provided by us is allowed to use. The handball resin from our partner SELECT convinces with its long-lasting adhesive power and its simple cleaning characteristics. The Select resin ensures precise control of the ball and thus success for every player. The resin can be removed effortlessly from hands after the game.

This resin is provided by us for the games for free!

Furthermore we want to let you know that our floorings will be cleaned every day. The quality and look of the court is important for the games and also decides the quality of TV pictures as well as a clean flooring set-up for the spectators in the hall. Parking at the Venues


For the Olympiahalle, the Tiroler Wasserkraft Arena and the Landessportcenter (address of all of these venues: Olympiastraße 10, 6020 Innsbruck) there is a large, pay parking area next to the Olympiahalle.

Medical Supplies

Medical Insurance

Medical care for the participants and accompanying persons is ensured by the University Hospital Innsbruck. Please note that any further medical care, like hospital admission or emergency area assistance is not covered by the LOT. All players are taking part in the games at their own risk.We strongly recommend all players to be in possession of a valid medical insurance and check that it adequately covers amateur sport – related injuries. Medical costs can be expensive if not insured.

Billing of Medical Services

EU, EEA and Switzerland: The settlement of the untimely medical services is possible via the EHIC – European Health Insurance Card. Important: In addition to the EHIC, eligibility with a valid photo ID is required.

Participants who are not EU citizens or citizens of an EEA member state: The treatment must be paid in cash. The application for the reimbursement of the treatment costs by his/her health insurance is the responsibility of the patient.

Individual free time activities

Innsbruck offers a variety of possibilities for individual free time activities, e.g. sightseeing, museums, walking and hiking trails, cable cars, mountain hikes, water sports, etc.

Central Meeting Point – Get Together

In order to ensure a cozy get-together also in the evenings of every match day, there will be a central meeting point in the VIP area of the “Olympiahalle” with regional food and music.
During the day there will also be food and beverages at the central meeting point.

Saturday get together

The social highlight will be the “Saturday get together” on Saturday, June 9, 2018, in the VIP are of the “Olympiahalle”: We will celebrate together and enjoy live music and regional specialities. Food and drinks are to be paid by the participants themselves.

Public Transport & Venues

The Masters will be held in 4 sports venues in Innsbruck. All participants can use public transport in Innsbruck (buses, trams) free of charge from 6th to 10th June 2018. The team hotels in Innsbruck and venues are all connected to the public transport network. The permissions for the free use of public transport in Innsbruck are handed out at the accreditation on 6th June.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION: Players, family & friends, children have to carry your accreditation all time when using public transport in order to proof that you are entitled to use the transport for free.
